In a unexpected crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of banned practices and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Features
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Content
This patch also adds the game's third free story content, titled "The Mystery." True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
